Statement
My entry into the world of art began through cartoons and comics. Initially, my focus was driven by a desire to create animations and use drawing as a means to tell stories. Through humor and absurdity, my images reinterpret everyday scenarios, characters, and situations, allowing me to gain a broader understanding of the environment in which I live. Over time, this desire has remained constant but has been enriched with new perspectives and a growing range of possibilities.
Art, at its core, has inspired me to consider freedom as a fundamental element in my approach to the creative process. My interest in animation has evolved into a fascination with moving images and the concept of movement itself. Similarly, my passion for cartoons and comics has transformed into an interest in various forms of representation and the multiple possibilities of storytelling without the need for a linear narrative. My enthusiasm for contemporary art is an acquired taste that grants me the opportunity to create with a freedom I am still exploring. However, the most solid source of my inspiration comes from popular traditions and traditional artisanal processes. I find deep value and knowledge in these sources, which connect me with historical and social aspects I consider essential and highly inspiring.
My goal is to create works that span two extremes: on one end, I wish for my pieces to engage with individuals outside the art world, without the need for prior connections, and on the other end, I aspire to have the freedom to work without the necessity of explaining or translating my actions.
Postura Crítica
Mi entrada al mundo del arte comenzó a través de la caricatura y los cómics. Inicialmente, mi enfoque se centraba en mi deseo de crear animaciones y utilizar el dibujo como un medio para contar historias. A través del humor y el absurdo, mis imágenes reinterpretan escenarios, personajes y situaciones de la vida cotidiana, permitiéndome un entendimiento más amplio del entorno en el que vivo. A lo largo del tiempo, ese deseo se ha mantenido constante, pero se ha enriquecido con nuevas perspectivas y un creciente abanico de posibilidades.
El arte, en su esencia, me ha inspirado a considerar la libertad como un elemento fundamental en mi enfoque hacia el proceso creativo. Mi interés en la animación ha evolucionado hacia una fascinación por la imagen en movimiento y el concepto del movimiento en sí mismo. Del mismo modo, mi pasión por la caricatura y el cómic se ha transformado en un interés por las diversas formas de representación y las múltiples posibilidades de narrar historias de manera no lineal y sin necesidad de contar algo específico. Mi entusiasmo por el arte contemporáneo es un gusto que he adquirido con el tiempo. Me brinda la oportunidad de crear con una libertad que todavía estoy explorando. Sin embargo, la fuente más sólida de mi inspiración proviene de las tradiciones populares y los procesos artesanales tradicionales.
Encuentro un profundo valor y conocimiento en estas fuentes, las cuales me conectan con aspectos históricos y sociales que considero esenciales y altamente inspiradores. Mi objetivo es crear obras que abarquen dos extremos: en un extremo, deseo que mis trabajos dialoguen con personas ajenas al mundo del arte, sin necesidad de vínculos previos, y en el otro extremo, anhelo tener la libertad de trabajar sin la necesidad de explicar o traducir mis acciones.​
